TaHoma by Somfy offers a new experience so there are some differences in terms of management of these features.
- Scenarios become manual scenes, they will be automatically transformed.
- The agenda has been re-designed and becomes a list of scheduled scenes, you might have to choose again the days on which they should play.
- Smarts become advanced scenes:
- For smart using "Day types" and periods, they will be de-activated as day types do not exist with TaHoma. However, you will easily be able to re-activate them but by using a different type of scheduling.
- For smart using "or" conditions, 2 options:
- For a smart such as "When it's <16° and during the week between 8 and 9 pm or during the weekend between 9 and 10 pm" (with 2 different timing conditions), the smart will be divided into 2 scenes: (When it's <16° and during the week at 8pm and When it's <16° and on the weekend at 9 pm.
- Other smarts using an "or" condition will be automatically transferred
- For any smart using Periods of time, such as "From Jan 12th to Jun 20th", the smart will be deactivated. You will be able to re-activate it.
Regarding your products that are compatible with TaHoma by Somfy app, they will automatically be transferred to the new app.

Which compatibilities will I lose if switch from TaHoma Classic to TaHoma by Somfy app?
If despite the new experience offered by the new TaHoma by Somfy application, you still wish to return to TaHoma Classic app, follow the procedure below:
- Go to the “…” menu of your TaHoma by Somfy app, “Configuration of the installation”, then, “Go back to TaHoma Classic” and “Reset my installation”.
- From the Somfy-Connect interface, I register my installation again by selecting the TaHoma V2 gateway
- From the TaHoma web interface or the TaHoma classic app, I redo my programming (my products will still be paired)
The following features available on TaHoma Classic app are not available on TaHoma by Somfy app:
- Web version of the app
- SMS and email notification service
- Security tab (sensors included in the tab remain compatible)
- Floors configuration
- Day types and periods management
- Some features included in heating products:
- Internal programming of io thermostat, io thermostatic valves and Atlantic electrical heaters is no longer settable
- The dedicated programming of Hitachi heat pumps is removed (the heat pumps will be able to be included in scheduled scenes)
- The setting of minimum and maximum target temperatures is no longer possible with io thermostatic valves
Some devices and protocols are not compatible with our new TaHoma app. If you have one of them and switch to TaHoma, you will not be able to use them anymore:
Non compatible Somfy devices:
- RTS thermostat
- Siren io
- Domis, Axis, JSW cameras (Visidom)
- Gas consumption sensor io (Gasix)
- TaHoma Serenity
- RTD alarms and sirens (Protexiom/Protexial) and remote controls
Non compatible brands and protocols:
- Honeywell
- De Dietrich
- KNX
- Profalux (Zigbee 1.2 & 868 MHz)
- Verisure
- Secuyou
- Dimplex (Ventilation)
- Z-wave
If you want to keep using them from your app, do not switch to TaHoma by Somfy.
